Introducing a case featuring sharp edges contrasted with circular shapes on the dial, Komposition is a sporty watch that draws inspiration from the world of geometry and 1970’s classic wrist watches. Light is beautifully reflected from the angled surfaces on the watch, and the minimalistic steel bracelet glimmers elegantly as your wrist moves and rotates.
Functionally, the watch is powered by a Japanese quartz movement from Miyota ensuring precision and longevity with the passage of time.

We believe that all inspiration originates from something in the past that we love and appreciate. When the world’s first quartz watch, the Seiko Astron, hit the shelves in 1969, not many would have predicted the chaotic aftermath this technological leap would bring about—especially for traditional Swiss movement makers. But we are not here to dwell on the past.
From a design perspective, the 1970s were experimental and colorful. Designers embraced sharp, geometric silhouettes, crafting sleek cases and bracelets that merged elegantly with colorful dials. Color-blocking effects were often used to add spice. If you share our nostalgia for 1970s design, then we are in the same boat, and you should probably check out our first watch, Komposition.

Geometry has been at the heart of designers, artists, and even mathematicians since the dawn of day. It is also an essential part of Tangens’ aesthetic universe, and we have done our best to incorporate playful geometric shapes into our product design. For this reason, we have chosen to name our first watch ‘Komposition’—simply Danish for composition. It is a name linked to our design philosophy, reminding us to use sharp edges and rounded shapes in their purest forms possible.
We believe our first watch, Komposition, is akin to a beautiful concept car inspired by days gone by but made for our present lives.

What is quality really?
At Tangens, quality is not only a matter of using sapphire glass, the highest-grade stainless steel, and a Japanese or Swiss-made movement. We believe quality encompasses the entire value proposition we offer as a brand. Our company mantra, ‘peace of mind,’ is directly tied to the complete experience you receive as a customer. We aim to treat you as well as we would like to be treated ourselves. That’s why we didn’t just stumble into a factory and pick some popular-looking luxury replica and smacked our logo on it. Though there is nothing wrong with that (?!), but we wanted to create something that was uniquely ours and that we would love to wear ourselves.
That’s why you are receiving a product designed by watch designers with experience from Swiss luxury watch brands, produced by A+ suppliers in China, and crafted with the best materials we could find. The design is based on a carefully considered aesthetic, and this first watch, Komposition, which is the result of our efforts so far, represents our brand universe as well as we could have hoped.
